Our hospital offers state-of-the-art equipment, and professional staff trained in the latest protocols for medical and surgical care, as well as a highly trained emergency staff available 24 hours a day. Several area ambulance services are available and our on-site heliport offers airlift services to transport critically ill or injured patients when needed. Our affiliation with Sioux Valley Hospitals and Health System gives patients the assurance that if it is necessary to be transferred to a tertiary care facility, they will receive care from a health system rated one of the nation’s best.
Laboratory and radiology (x-ray) services are available 24 hours a day, with staff serving both the hospital and attached medical clinic. Consulting radiology and pathology professionals provide expert diagnostic services.
A variety of surgical procedures are performed in the surgical suites at the hospital. Procedures accommodating major and minor surgery, including some orthopedics are available at the hospital.
Most chemotherapy treatments are available locally.
Sanford Tracy Medical Center offers Mental Health Care with staff member, Dawn VanRuler, MS, ARNP, CN, FNP. VanRuler is a Nurse Practitioner specializing in family medicine with a special interest in mental health. She can provide medicine reviews as well as mental health counseling for patients of all ages; including children, adolescents and adults.
Tracy Hospital also features Physical, Occupational and Language/Speech therapy provided through Shetek Therapy Services. Therapy Services are available to assist patients who are recuperating from surgery or accidents with services provided on the hospital campus as well as off-site facilities throughout the area.
Shetek Home Care Services provides in-home care to provide help to those needing assistance with medications, bathing and general care. Available throughout a four county area, professional nurses and nursing assistants work closely with each individual’s Primary Care Physician to assure the highest level of care is provided.
O’Brien Court, Congregate Care Senior Housing, is directly attached to the Hospital. Thirty (30) one and two bedroom apartments offer comfortable, affordable living. Assisted living is now available for residents who need assistance with personal cares, medication management or post surgical care.
Sanford Tracy Medical Center is governed by an appointed Board of Directors residing within the Sioux Valley Tracy Medical Center area.
